CHED Monitors GSU-CST Compliance with IT Education Standards under CMO No. 25, Series of 2015

As part of its continuing quality assurance efforts, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted a monitoring visit at the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) on April 28, 2025, at the Mosqueda Campus.

Rosslin John Robles, Education Program Supervisor for Information Technology Education (ITE) Programs, led the evaluation focusing on the compliance of the college with the minimum standards set forth in CMO No. 25, Series of 2015—the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSG) for Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Computer Science (BSCS), and Information Systems (BSIS) programs.

The monitoring aimed to assess the delivery of ITE programs, verify alignment with prescribed curricular requirements, and ensure the sufficiency of faculty qualifications, physical resources, and academic support services. The activity also reviewed the institutional mechanisms for program outcomes, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The College, together with its program heads, faculty, and administrative staff, facilitated the visit and presented the necessary documentation and compliance reports. CST reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality Information Technology Education in accordance with national and global standards.

Through this visit, GSU-CST strengthens its dedication to academic excellence, ensuring that its programs are responsive to industry needs and technological advancements.
