Guimaras State University – College of Science and Technology (GSU-CST) engaged in an online benchmarking session with the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) – College of Information and Communication Technology and Engineering (CICTE) on June 9, 2025, hosted virtually at GSU Mosqueda Campus.

Initiated as part of SUNN’s strategic move to enhance its internationalization initiatives, the session served as a platform to learn from GSU-CST’s proven strategies, organizational structures, and best practices that have contributed to its success in global academic engagements.
Designed to foster collaboration and continuous improvement, the meeting aims to promote the exchange of institutional knowledge that enhances academic quality and opportunities for learners.
Participants from both institutions actively discussed CST’s recent student mobility programs, international research collaborations, and digital innovations. Emphasis was placed on highlighting the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions.
Expected outcomes of the session include the formulation of localized strategies by SUNN-CICTE, inspired by CST’s models of success, and the potential for future joint programs that will benefit both faculty and students.
