Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) 3rd year students of Guimaras State University – College of Science and Technology (GSU-CST) participated in an On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation Seminar held on June 18, 2025, at Mosqueda Campus.

Designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and expectations for their upcoming industry immersion, the seminar served as a preparatory platform to discuss responsibilities, professional conduct, and institutional requirements related to the OJT program.

James Ryan B. Ga, Research Coordinator, discussed the OJT orientation proper, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, documentation, and aligning academic outcomes with fieldwork expectations. His session outlined the procedures, guidelines, and key deliverables students must accomplish throughout the training.

The seminar also featured Gyzabel Echalar, CST Instructor, who provided insights on workplace ethics, communication strategies, and best practices for thriving in diverse organizational environments.
This orientation forms part of GSU-CST’s commitment to ensuring its students are industry-ready, responsible, and capable of contributing meaningfully during their OJT deployment. It also supports the university’s broader goal of producing globally competent graduates through holistic academic and field training.
