The College of Science and Technology (CST) conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) Training focused on Gender-Fair Language on September 19, 2025, at CST Building, GSU Mosqueda Campus. The training aimed to promote inclusivity, prevent gender biases, and raise awareness on the proper use of pronouns and language in both academic and professional settings.

The program was spearheaded by Instr. Loveson C. Gallos, GAD Coordinator for Mosqueda Campus, and featured Prof. Adrian J. Forca, CST Dean, as the resource speaker.

The training was actively participated in by CST faculty and staff, making the event a collaborative step toward fostering a gender-sensitive and inclusive learning environment.

Prof. Forca highlighted the importance of mindful communication in dismantling stereotypes and empowering individuals through respectful and inclusive language. Among the topics discussed were: The Power of Words: A Guide to Gender-Fair Speaking Inclusively, Gender-Specific Pronouns, and Principles of Gender-Fair Language.
Through this initiative, CST reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender sensitivity and inclusivity across all academic and institutional activities. The GAD Training served as a reminder that creating a respectful environment begins with the words we choose to use.
