BSIS and BSCS Programs Undergo 1st AACCUP Level I Accreditation Survey

November 24–28, 2025 | via Zoom

The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) programs successfully underwent their 1st AACCUP Accreditation Survey Level I on November 24–28, 2025, conducted virtually via Zoom. This significant evaluation marks an important step in strengthening the academic quality and institutional standing of the programs.

The five-day online accreditation began with the Opening Program on the first day, where university officials, program heads, faculty members, and accreditors from various institutions gathered to officially commence the survey visit.

Throughout the evaluation, the accreditors thoroughly assessed ten major areas, including Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO), Faculty, Curriculum, Research, Extension, Library, Physical Plant and Facilities, Administration, etc. Each area was reviewed to determine the readiness and capability of the programs to achieve Level I accredited status.

On the third day, accreditors held interviews to BSIS and BSCS students, Alumni, and stakeholders. They also conducted class observations, allowing them to evaluate instructional delivery, faculty competence, learning engagement, and the overall academic environment of the BSIS and BSCS programs.

The fourth day highlighted the virtual tour of the GSU Mosqueda campus and its key facilities, departments, and offices. Through guided walkthroughs, accreditors gained insight into the university’s learning spaces, administrative support services, laboratories, student development offices, and other important areas that contribute to program implementation.

The survey concluded with the Closing Program, where the accreditors presented their feedback, commendations, and recommendations for improvement. Their findings aim to help the programs enhance their systems and align more effectively with accreditation standards.

The completion of this accreditation survey reflects the university’s continued commitment to providing quality education and fostering excellence in its computing programs.
