The Guimaras State University (GSU) conducted its semestral internal audit of all colleges including the College of Science and Technology (CST) Department on November 12–14, 2025. The audit took place at the CST Dean’s Office in GSU Mosqueda Campus and was led by a team of auditors composed of Instr. Gejette Marei Monton, Instr. Mary Joy Molate, Dr. Efren S. Tellermo, Dr. Criste F. Dilag, and Miss Ijieline Gallo.

The internal audit aimed to ensure that the CST Department consistently adheres to institutional standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining quality service in academic operations. Throughout the three-day evaluation, auditors thoroughly examined key areas essential to academic management and student support.

Among the aspects reviewed were curriculum preparation, enrolment processes, delivery of academic programs, and the handling of complaints and grievances. The team also assessed the department’s monitoring and evaluation of instruction, the preparation of instructional materials, and the revision and updating of syllabi.

Additionally, auditors evaluated the student assessment and evaluation, the approval process for candidates for graduation, and the issuance of good moral character certificates and recommendations for employment.

The semestral audit serves as part of GSU’s commitment to continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability. Through this activity, the CST Department aims to further strengthen its academic services and uphold the university’s standards of excellence.
