The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science students of College of Science and Technology successfully conducted their Culminating Activity on January 7, 2025, at the GSU Mosqueda Campus Conference Hall.

The activity aimed to showcase the students’ academic outputs, technical skills, and research achievements developed throughout their course.

The program was organized under the leadership of the BSCS Program Head, Dr. Lea P. Ymalay, and was attended by BSCS students from different year levels. The event featured Dr. Reiner Jun C. Alminaza as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights and inspiration relevant to the field of computer science and research.

Following the resource speaker’s presentation, selected 3rd year and 4th year BSCS students presented their research studies, highlighting their analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and contributions to academic inquiry. The research presentations demonstrated the students’ preparedness for higher-level academic and professional challenges.

In addition, each year level set up booths to exhibit their projects and outputs, allowing participants and visitors to explore various innovations and applications developed by the students. These exhibits reflected the creativity, technical competence, and collaborative efforts of the BSCS students.

The culminating activity continued in the afternoon with a Skills Olympics, which featured exciting competitions such as Speed Typing, Coding Challenge, and Computer Assembly and Disassembly. These activities tested the students’ speed, accuracy, and technical proficiency, adding a fun and competitive atmosphere to the event.
The BSCS Culminating Activity served as a meaningful platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and research capabilities, reinforcing the program’s commitment to producing technologically equipped and competent graduates.
