The College of Science and Technology (CST) strengthened its industry and government linkages through another On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployment at the DepEd Schools Division of Guimaras on February 24, 2026.
The deployed students were accompanied by BSIT Program Head, Instr. Divon G. Tamdang, who ensured the smooth turnover of the trainees to the host office. Upon their arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the personnel of the Schools Division Office (SDO) and were given a brief orientation regarding the office’s mandate, workplace policies, and their respective assignments.
The orientation provided the trainees with essential information on professional conduct, office procedures, and the tasks they are expected to perform during their training period. This initial engagement also allowed the students to become familiar with the working environment and organizational structure of the division.
The deployment forms part of CST’s continuing commitment to expose its students to real-world experiences in the field of information technology, enabling them to apply their academic knowledge in an actual workplace setting while developing their technical skills, work ethics, and sense of responsibility.
