February 26-28, 2026 | Iloilo Convention Center

The College of Science and Technology (CST) actively took part in the 3-day Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Responding through AI for Societal Empowerment (RAISE) 2026 held on February 26–28, 2026 at the Iloilo Convention Center.

Representing CST in the national gathering were the CST Dean, selected program heads, faculty members, and third-year CST students, who joined educators, innovators, and industry leaders from across the country in meaningful discussions on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education and society.

Carrying the theme “Empowering Minds, Transforming Communities through Responsible and Inclusive AI,” the event served as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices on the ethical and effective use of AI.

Various participating institutions also presented their innovative research outputs and AI-driven projects through interactive exhibit booths. These allowed attendees to explore emerging technologies and engage in hands-on learning experiences that highlighted real-world applications of artificial intelligence.

The forum underscored the importance of addressing existing gaps in AI adoption and curbing its misuse while promoting its responsible, ethical, and inclusive integration across the education sector. It also emphasized the crucial role of higher education institutions in preparing future professionals who are not only technologically competent but also socially aware and ethically grounded.

Through its participation, CST continues to affirm its commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and the development of future-ready learners equipped to thrive in an AI-driven world.
