Date of Effectivity: March 11, 2026
Guimaras State University (GSU) informs all students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders of the implementation of new internal guidelines following Memorandum Circular No. 114, which aims to promote energy conservation across government institutions.
Under the new guidelines, the University adopts a compressed four-day onsite work arrangement to reduce electricity and fuel consumption. As part of this adjustment, onsite work and classes will only be conducted from Monday to Thursday, while activities scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays will be held online through appropriate virtual platforms.
New Work Schedule for:
A. Non-teaching Personnel

B. Teaching Personnel (Permanent, COS, and Part-Time Faculty)

Regular onsite classes will follow the approved schedule from Monday to Thursday, while classes beyond these days will utilize online modalities through platforms such as the GSU Learning Management System (GuimaVerse).
Certain essential personnel, including security services and other operational staff whose duties require physical presence, will continue to follow their prescribed work schedules.
The implementation of these guidelines aims to ensure continued delivery of academic and administrative services while supporting the national initiative for energy efficiency and responsible resource utilization.
All concerned are advised to be guided accordingly.
