GSU-CST Holds PTA Meeting to Strengthen Academic Partnership with Parents

Aiming to fortify academic collaboration and home-school synergy, the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) conducted its Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting on April 11, 2025, at the Mosqueda Campus.

The activity was led by Assoc. Prof. Adrian J. Forca, CST Dean, with key university officials in attendance, including Dr. Erly M. Martir, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), and Dr. Rome B. Moralista, Dean of the College of Business and Management (CBM). Faculty members, administrative staff, and the parents and guardians of CST students participated in the engagement.

The meeting was organized to serve as a platform for direct dialogue between the college and families of enrolled students. Agenda items included:

  • Presentation of the CST Accomplishment Report for Academic Year 2024–2025
  • VMGO Awareness Orientation for CST parents and guardians
  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the CST PTA Project: Water Refilling Station
  • CST PTA Accomplishment Report for AY 2024–2025
  • Consultation on Students’ Academic Status
  • Preparations for the 2nd CST Pinning Ceremony for BSCS 3rd Year students scheduled on May 15, 2025
  • Graduation Updates, including discussions on student status, fees, and attire
  • Open Forum to address other matters and parental concerns

The meeting reinforced the importance of parental engagement in student academic outcomes, while affirming the college’s commitment to participatory governance, institutional transparency, and inclusive educational planning.
