CST Extension Conducts Training on Microsoft Excel for San Roque–Tastasan Elementary School Teachers

To enhance digital literacy and promote the effective use of technology in classroom instruction, the College of Science and Technology (CST) conducted a Training on Microsoft Excel for the teachers of San Roque–Tastasan Elementary School on October 22, 2025.

The activity was organized and spearheaded by Dr. Reiner Jun C. Alminaza, CST Extension Coordinator, as part of CST’s community extension program, aiming to empower educators by equipping them with practical digital skills to streamline classroom management and improve productivity.

The resource speaker is Dr. Lea P. Ymalay, Program Head of the BSCS speakers who shared valuable insights on how Microsoft Excel can be effectively utilized for classroom record-keeping, computation of grades, and data organization.

The program formally began with the Opening Remarks delivered by Mrs. Elena P. Giner, Head Teacher III, who expressed appreciation to CST for extending their expertise and support to the teachers of San Roque–Tastasan Elementary School.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations that allowed them to apply what they learned in real-time. The teachers gained a deeper understanding of Excel’s essential tools and functions, discovering innovative ways to integrate technology into their daily teaching tasks.

This initiative underscores CST’s continued commitment to community development and educational advancement.
