CST Joins 27th PSITE National Convention 2025

The College of Science and Technology (CST) actively participated in the 27th PSITE (Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators) National Convention 2025, held at Bohol Tropics, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, from March 20 to 22, 2025. CST attendees included Adrian J. Forca, College Dean; Lea P. Ymalay, BSCS Program Head; and Divon G. Tamdang, BSIT Program Head. The event gathered IT educators, administrators, and industry leaders from across the country to discuss the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in IT education and strategies for bridging skills gaps in an AI-driven workforce.

Throughout the convention, participants engaged in plenary sessions covering various topics, including Navigating IT Education in the AI Era, Emerging Trends in AI and IT Education, Bridging the Skills Gap for the AI-Driven Workforce, The Role of IT Educators in Shaping Future Leaders, Innovations in Curriculum Design for AI Education, Showcasing AI Tools and Solutions for Education, and Future-Ready IT Education: Opportunities and Challenges. These discussions aimed to provide practical tools, methodologies, and resources to enhance IT education, ensuring that students and educators remain equipped for the demands of an AI-powered future.

The event also served as a platform for sharing best practices, fostering leadership, and showcasing how different regions across the Philippines are implementing IT innovations. CST’s participation in the 27th PSITE National Convention reaffirmed its commitment to advancing IT education, strengthening collaboration, and preparing future IT professionals for the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
