Twenty students from the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) participated in the 2025 Healthcare Information Management Service (HIMS) Conference held on June 25–26 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.




With the theme “Advancing the Future of Healthcare Ecosystem in Region 6,” the event provided an opportunity for students to explore the latest industry innovations, engage with key service providers, and gain insights into modern healthcare information management solutions.


The participating students were accompanied by James Ryan B. Ga, Program Head of the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC); Loveson C. Gallos, Program Head of the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS); Desiree Gallarda, CST Secretary; and Louel Sanz, CST Technician.



Participants benefited from dynamic panel discussions led by healthcare and ICT professionals, focusing on digital transformation, data security, records management, and technology integration in healthcare delivery systems.
The HIMS conference serves as an industry-bridging initiative, strengthening CST students’ awareness of healthcare IT systems and preparing them for future roles in data-driven environments. Through this immersive experience, the delegation from GSU-CST took a step forward in aligning their academic knowledge with real-world innovations in the healthcare sector.
