GSU and ITB STIKOM Bali Hold Collaborative Meeting via Zoom to Strengthen Academic Ties and International Partnership

On July 28, 2025, a collaborative meeting between Guimaras State University (GSU) and ITB STIKOM Bali, Indonesia, was successfully conducted via Zoom at 1:00 PM, aimed at deepening academic partnerships and international cooperation.

The meeting was attended by representatives from ITB STIKOM Bali’s International Program Lecturers including Ayu Widari, Aditya Krisnawan, Julius Ngantum, and Evi Eriandini, together with GSU’s officials, Prof. Adrian J. Forca, CST Dean, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreno, University President, and Ms. Mary Elizabeth Parreno, Private Secretary of the President.

The virtual meeting gathered key representatives from both institutions to discuss various collaborative initiatives, including upcoming visits, student and faculty exchanges, research endeavors, and cultural explorations.

Ibu Evi Eriandini of ITB STIKOM Bali led the discussion on the Student Exchange Program, which is scheduled to take place between October to November 2025. This program will offer students a unique opportunity to engage in academic and cultural experiences, including lectures, research collaboration, and immersive activities exploring Balinese culture. She likewise presented the academic programs offered at ITB STIKOM and proposed a series of future academic engagements involving both institutions.

During the meeting, Prof. Adrian J. Forca presented an overview of CST’s Internationalization Program, which includes partnerships with various universities abroad. He emphasized GSU’s openness to collaborative webinars, joint research for publication, and community extension services, particularly those that focus on skills development. He also highlighted the planned Collaboration Visit on August 7–12, which will mark a significant milestone in the partnership. GSU will be represented in Bali by Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreno, University President; Mrs. Janet R. Aleman, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Dean of the College of Science and Technology (CST); and Ms. Mary Elizabeth Parreno, Private Secretary of the University President. He also introduced the list of students and faculty participants from GSU who will be involved in this year’s Internationalization (IZN) activity.

This collaboration meeting between GSU and ITB STIKOM Bali signifies the continuing commitment of both institutions to foster mutual academic growth, strengthen international linkages, and provide their students and faculty with enriching global experiences.
