The College of Science and Technology (CST) Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca, and the Gender and Development (GAD) Coordinator for Mosqueda Campus, Instr. Loveson C. Gallos, took part in the 3-Day GAD Planning and Budgeting Workshop and Orientation of the GAD Agenda held on September 8–10, 2025, at the Guimaras State University (GSU) Main Campus.
The activity was designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare the GAD Plan and Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 and to provide a comprehensive orientation on GAD toolkits. Through the workshop, faculty and coordinators were guided in aligning their respective plans with institutional goals while ensuring compliance with national GAD mandates.
By participating in the workshop, the CST Dean and GAD Coordinator emphasized the commitment of the College to advancing gender equality and inclusivity across academic programs, student services, and community engagements. The event also served as a venue for sharing insights and best practices in effectively implementing GAD initiatives within the university.
The 3-day workshop concluded with the consolidation of proposed GAD programs and activities, ensuring that the upcoming fiscal year’s initiatives are well-structured, responsive, and impactful in promoting gender-responsive governance.
