On September 19, 2025, the College of Science and Technology (CST) and the Faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak (UMP), Indonesia, held a virtual meeting via Zoom to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Student Exchange Program set for this November.
The meeting was attended by CST Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Instr. Alfred John Borreros, Internationalization (IZN) Coordinator, and Instr. Loveson Gallos, BSIS Program Head, who engaged in collaborative discussions with their counterparts from UMP.
The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including program preparations, expectations, and planned activities. Highlights of the discussion included opportunities for research presentations, collaborative learning with assigned student buddies, cultural exchange activities, food preferences, and places to explore in Indonesia, ensuring that students are both academically and culturally prepared for the program.
Both institutions emphasized the importance of holistic preparation beyond academics so participants can fully immerse themselves in the exchange experience. The meeting reflected a shared vision of fostering stronger international linkages and cultivating globally competent graduates.
