September 25, 2025 | GSU X ITB Stikom Bali via Zoom


Guimaras State University (GSU) and ITB Stikom Bali, Indonesia, held a productive virtual meeting on September 25, 2025, to establish a joint research collaboration that seeks to strengthen academic partnerships and advance interdisciplinary studies across both institutions.



The meeting began with self-introductions, where each participant presented their academic background, expertise, and research focus. This exchange highlighted the diverse strengths of both institutions, creating a strong foundation for research synergy.
From GSU, the participants and their respective fields were:
From College of Agricultural Sciences:

Following the introductions, both institutions discussed possible frameworks and processes for collaboration, including onsite visits for data collection and hands-on partnership at each university. This initiative aims to ensure that joint projects are grounded in actual fieldwork, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of local contexts while promoting a culture of shared learning.
During the meeting, GSU and ITB Stikom Bali formally agreed to pursue the four joint research initiatives:
1. Development of IoT-Based Prosthetics for CST Students
2. Development of an Information System with a Machine Learning Model to Detect and Grade the Quality of Guimaras Mango Products and Bali Mango Products
3. IT Awareness and Tourism-Related Studies
4. Smart Province Concept, focusing on sustainable digital services in government, integrating data across sectors, and developing a framework for digital transformation to identify commonalities and differences in governance approaches.
Through these initiatives, both institutions sustain their commitment to advancing innovation, promoting global cooperation, and conducting impactful research that addresses pressing challenges. The meeting served as a significant step toward launching impactful joint research projects that open opportunities in agriculture, information technology, education, tourism, and beyond. The collaboration marks an important milestone in building long-term academic and research partnerships between GSU and ITB Stikom Bali.
