October 1, 2025 | GSU Mosqueda Campus

On October 1, 2025, this special day brought an air of excitement and gratitude to the Guimaras State University (GSU) Mosqueda Campus as students and faculty members united to celebrate World Teacher’s Day.

Organized by the SAS Coordinator for Mosqueda Campus, Dr. Lea P. Ymalay, Student Republic (SR) Officers, Student Councils, and Class Mayors, the event brought together faculty and staff from the College of Science and Technology (CST), College of Business and Management (CBM), and the Food Technology Program.

The program opened with a heartfelt gesture of respect and appreciation as assigned students picked up, handed flowers, and escorted their teachers to the venue. The event was formally opened by the GSU Mosqueda Campus Director, Dr. Kert D. Pillora, with messages from the Deans of the two colleges, Prof. Adrian J. Forca and Dr. Anelyn A. Janaban.

The fun continued with exciting activities and games, including a sack race (with a twist) and a spirited mass dance shared by both students and faculty.

Teachers received flowers, bouquets, and special gifts from their students, creating a heartfelt atmosphere that emphasized the strong relationship and deep appreciation of the students for their instructors.

The celebration served as a joyful reminder of the teachers’ vital role in shaping the future and the importance of honoring their dedication, commitment, and love for their students and their profession.
