February 9-11, 2025 | Guimaras
The ongoing On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployment of 4th Year BSIS and BSIT students of the College of Science and Technology (CST) is in full swing as students are being assigned to various government offices across the province of Guimaras. This initiative provides students with hands-on experience and real-world exposure aligned with their academic training.

The deployment schedule covered several municipalities and agencies, starting with the Municipality of Sibunag and the Municipality of Buenavista on February 9.

It was followed by the Municipality of Jordan and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on February 10.

The deployment continued at the Municipality of Nueva Valencia on February 11.
Throughout the deployment process, the students were accompanied and supervised by the CST OJT Coordinator, Instr. James Ryan B. Ga, ensuring proper coordination with partner institutions and smooth onboarding of the trainees. His guidance helped prepare the students as they officially began their professional journey in various public offices.
The OJT program aims to enhance students’ technical skills, work ethics, and professional competencies by immersing them in actual workplace environments. Through this experience, BSIS and BSIT students are expected to apply their classroom learning, develop confidence, and gain valuable insights into public service and information systems operations.
This ongoing deployment highlights CST’s commitment to producing industry- and service-ready graduates while strengthening partnerships with local government units and national agencies across Guimaras.
