February 23, 2026 | CST X ITS via Zoom

The College of Science and Technology successfully conducted its first Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) session in partnership with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember on February 23, 2026, via Zoom.

The international class focused on Discrete Mathematics, with Logic as its first topic. The lesson was delivered by ITS faculty member Mr. Ilham Gurat Adillion, who facilitated the discussion among participating students from both institutions. Joining the session on the CST side was Prof. Reiner Jun C. Alminaza, who is also part of the COIL program, together with the second-year BSCS students.

The activity brought together Filipino and Indonesian students in a shared virtual classroom, allowing them to engage in cross-cultural academic exchange while learning fundamental concepts in Discrete Mathematics. Through the use of interactive discussions and collaborative learning strategies, the session provided students with a global learning experience and exposure to international teaching approaches.
The implementation of the COIL program highlights CST’s commitment to internationalization and innovation in instruction. By integrating global partnerships into the curriculum, the college continues to create meaningful opportunities for students to develop not only their technical knowledge but also their communication skills, cultural awareness, and readiness for the global academic and professional environment.
