The Guimaras State University conducted a virtual meeting via Zoom to discuss the proposed NaviPredict Project, a potential General Appropriations Act (GAA)-funded project for Fiscal Year 2027.
The meeting was attended by key university officials and personnel, including Prof. Adrian J. Forca (CST Dean), Frennie D. Zarate (Budget Officer III), Adrian C. Alumbro (Research Director), Eunice Hannah V. Traifalgar (Head of the Accounting Office), and Ms. Angelie Piodena.
The discussion was centered on the planning and development of the NaviPredict Project, particularly focusing on key components such as budget allocation, project team composition, funding requirements, and research framework. The participants collaboratively reviewed the proposed structure of the project to ensure alignment with funding guidelines and institutional priorities.
The meeting also served as a platform to clarify the processes, identify necessary resources, and outline the steps needed for the project’s proposal and implementation. Emphasis was given to ensuring that the project is well-prepared for submission and evaluation under the GAA funding process.
The NaviPredict Project is a cross-platform application designed for the tourism industry of Guimaras whose purpose is to digitize the economy with the use of Artificial Intelligence especially for Banca operators to help them identify more specific time slots for tourism activities. This project envisions to contribute not just to the university’s research and innovation initiatives, but also the tourism sector of Guimaras further strengthening its capacity to deliver impactful and data-driven solutions.
Through this collaborative effort, GSU continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing research, fostering innovation, and securing funding opportunities that support institutional growth and support the tourism sector with the use of technology that benefits the community as a whole.
