The College of Science and Technology at Guimaras State University (GSU) conducted an On-the-Job Training (OJT) Seminar for Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) students. The seminar, held as part of the preparation for their internship this second semester of Academic Year 2024-2025, carried the theme “Empowering Future Professionals: Skills for Success.”
The event featured Mrs. Ma. Rechel A. Pillora, Administrative Officer V and University Human Resource Management Officer III (AO V/HRMO III), as the resource speaker. Mrs. Pillora inspired the students with her insights and guidance as they prepare to enter the workforce as interns.
The event was graced by College Dean Prof. Adrian J. Forca, who expressed support for the activity. Participants benefited from practical tips shared by Mrs. Pillora, which focused on professional behavior and workplace readiness.
The College of Science and Technology administration expressed optimism that this seminar will enable students to explore their potential in BSIT and BSIS careers while fostering successful collaborations with partner IT industries.
