On April 4, 2025, faculty members from the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) conducted a benchmarking visit to Romblon State University (RSU) to explore best practices in data center management.
The visit was led by CST Dean Adrian J. Forca, MIT, and James Ryan B. Ga, MIT, Program Head of the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) program. The objective of the visit was to gain insights into RSU’s Data Center operations, including its systems architecture, security protocols, and ICT infrastructure management.
During the visit, the GSU team engaged in an in-depth discussion and firsthand observation of RSU’s effective strategies for managing data systems, backup protocols, and network security. These practices are integral to supporting the university’s academic and administrative functions.
