The College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) formally announced the approval of Assoc. Prof. Adrian Jaleco Forca, CST College Dean, as an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), effective March 27, 2025. The appointment was made official through NRCP Governing Board Resolution No. 2025-20.
The NRCP, an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), is composed of researchers, scientists, and scholars from across the country whose work advances national development through fundamental and policy-driven research. Membership in the council is regarded as a significant professional milestone in Philippine research and scholarship.
Prof. Forca’s inclusion in the NRCP declares his sustained commitment to research excellence, academic leadership, and contributions to science and technology. He is scheduled to be formally inducted by the NRCP Division Chair or Council President within the year, which will signify the beginning of his active participation in the council’s interdisciplinary research initiatives, consultations, and policy work.
His approval not only marks individual recognition, but also serves as an institutional achievement for Guimaras State University.
