The West Visayas State University (WVSU), in collaboration with the Guimaras State University (GSU), conducted an exploratory meeting to discuss the possible partnership between the two universities on establishing a Center for Digital Transformation for Governance funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Delegations from the WVSU-College of Information and Communications Technology (WVSU-CICT) were represented by Dr. Ma. Beth S. Concepcion – Project Lead, CDx for Governance and Dean of CICT, along with Mr. Shem Durst Eliojah B. Sandig – Project Staff, Faculty-CICT, and Ms. Samantha Gwynviv Scarlette Lim – Project Technical Assistant. They were warmly welcomed by the University President, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, along with the College of Science and Technology of the university, headed by Prof. Adrian J. Forca, with Instr. James Ryan B. Ga – BSEMC Program Head and Instr. Loveson C. Gallos – BSIS Program Head.
The University President is very supportive of the proposed collaboration and tasked the College of Science and Technology to provide necessary support to compose and represent the university in the aforementioned project.
