August 29, 2025 | GSU-Mosqueda Campus

In celebration of their Tech-Voc Day, selected faculty members and senior high school students from Salvacion National High School, Nueva Valencia, embarked on an enriching benchmarking visit to the College of Science and Technology (CST) at Guimaras State University’s Mosqueda Campus.

They were warmly welcomed and toured by CST Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca, alongside Laboratory Technician Mr. Louel Sanz. Their visit offered a firsthand look into the college’s advanced laboratories, technical facilities, and ongoing innovations in science and technology education.

The group also proceeded to the Food Innovation Center, where they were introduced to cutting-edge food processing technologies and research initiatives. The BS Food Technology Program team facilitated the tour, showcasing how science meets culinary creativity to address food sustainability and product development.

This benchmarking activity aimed to expose Salvacion NHS students and faculty to real-world applications of technical-vocational education, inspire future academic pursuits, and foster partnerships between secondary and tertiary institutions. By engaging directly with the technologies and experts, participants gained valuable insights into the possibilities that await in higher education and industry.
