The Gender and Development (GAD) Office of Guimaras State University (GSU) successfully conducted the University Charity Boutique Distribution Drive on October 17, 2025, at the Audio Visual Room, GSU Salvador Campus.









The activity was spearheaded by Ma’am Frennie D. Zarate, GAD Director and GAD Coordinators from different campuses, including Instr. Loveson C. Gallos for Mosqueda Campus. The event was also graced by the presence of the University President, Dr.Lilian Diana B. Parreno, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Erly M. Martir, and student beneficiaries from various colleges.



This charitable initiative aimed to distribute donated items from sponsors to students, fostering a sense of compassion and community support within the university. The event showcased the spirit of generosity and shared responsibility among members of the academic community.








During the drive, student beneficiaries were given the opportunity to select items of their choice, which included clothing, sandals, organizers, tumblers, lunch bags, and other useful goods. The activity was conducted in an orderly and inclusive manner, ensuring that every participant benefited from the initiative.
Through this effort, the GAD Office continues to uphold its advocacy of promoting gender equality, empowerment, and social welfare, emphasizing that kindness and generosity can greatly impact the lives of students in need.
