November 8-9, 2025 | Iloilo City, Philippines

The concluding days of the Student Exchange Program between Guimaras State University (GSU) and Universitas Pakuan (UNPAK) were marked by meaningful engagements and heartfelt farewells as the delegates prepared for their journey home.

On November 8, the delegation traveled to Iloilo City in preparation for their early morning flight to Jakarta via Singapore, scheduled at 6:00 a.m. aboard Scoot Airlines. Before their departure, the students participated in a valuable one-on-one session with the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) Director.

During the discussion, they learned about the University’s intellectual property processes, including how innovations, research outputs, and creative works are protected and managed. This final academic engagement deepened their understanding of intellectual property rights and provided practical insights that enriched their overall learning experience during the exchange program.

On the final day, November 9, the UNPAK students were officially escorted to the Iloilo International Airport to board their flight. While waiting for departure, the participants reflected on the knowledge they gained, the cultural encounters they experienced, and the friendships they built throughout their stay in Guimaras.

The journey home marked the end of an unforgettable chapter, one filled with academic growth, cross-cultural appreciation, and meaningful collaboration. The delegates carried with them cherished memories and a deep admiration for the hospitality, beauty, and warmth of Guimaras Island and its people.

These final moments highlighted the success of the internationalization initiative, strengthening the bond between GSU and UNPAK and paving the way for future collaborations.
