The College of Science and Technology (CST) strengthened its commitment to advancing research excellence as the CST Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca and the Research Coordinator, Instr. James Ryan B. Ga attended a meeting organized by the Research, Extension, Training, and Innovation (RETI) Office on November 14, 2025.
The meeting served as an initial planning session in preparation for the Fiscal Year 2026 Research Activities, ensuring that all colleges and research units of the university are aligned with institutional goals, national research priorities, and emerging community needs.
During the discussion, the RETI Office outlined the proposed research agenda for 2026, strategies for improving research outputs, timelines for project submissions, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. The CST representatives actively participated by sharing insights relevant to science and technology research trends, capability-building initiatives, and prospective innovation-driven studies.
The session also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, enhancing faculty research competencies, and ensuring that research undertakings contribute to development efforts within the province and beyond, supporting a more research-driven academic environment and promoting high-quality, impactful scientific studies in the coming year.
