Guimaras State University (GSU) was formally welcomed by its partner institution, Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak (UMP), on December 1 as part of the International Mobility Program, marking the start of a series of collaborative activities that highlighted the strong relationship between the two universities.
On December 2, the partnership was further solidified through the Renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which was attended and witnessed by Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Dean of the College of Science and Technology, together with GSU CST Faculty and Student Exchange delegates, and faculty representatives from the partner institution.
The ceremony reaffirmed both institutions’ shared commitment to strengthening international cooperation in student and faculty exchanges, academic collaboration, and research initiatives, paving the way for broader global learning opportunities and sustained institutional partnership.
