CST Faculty Presents Research Study at Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak

Instructor Loveson C. Gallos, BSIS Program Head from GSU-College of Science and Technology presented a research study titled “Uncovering Insights in Guimaras Production for Food Security Using Graph Database” at Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak (UMP) on December 5, 2025. The presentation formed part of the ongoing faculty and student exchange program between GSU and UMP, which seeks to enhance international academic collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The study focused on the use of graph database technology to analyze complex relationships in production data from Guimaras, offering data-driven insights that can support food security initiatives and informed decision-making. The discussion emphasized the growing role of information systems and advanced data technologies in addressing real-world challenges, particularly in the agricultural sector.

The academic session was attended by students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) programs of UMP, along with faculty members from the host university. Participants actively engaged in the lecture through discussions and questions, making the activity a valuable learning experience and a meaningful exchange of ideas.

The presentation further strengthened the academic partnership between Guimaras State University and Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak while enriching the international exposure of both students and faculty.
