The College of Science and Technology (CST) actively participated in the 30th Research and Development In-House Review for Completed Studies, held on December 12, 2025, at the Agri-Eco Convention Center. The activity carried the theme “Empowering Progress: Research and Development across Disciplines,” highlighting the vital role of research in advancing innovation and development across various fields.


The event gathered researchers and presenters from different colleges and units, including the College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM), College of Engineering and Industrial Technology (CEIT), College of Agriculture and Allied Sciences (CAGS),College of Science and Technology (CST) and the Quality Assurance Office.








Under the CST department, several research studies were presented, demonstrating the college’s strong commitment to research excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration. One of the studies, “Uncovering Insights in Guimaras Production for Food Security Using Graph Database,” was authored by James Ryan B. Ga, Loveson C. Gallos, Divon G. Tamdang, Alfred John G. Borreros, and Adrian J. Forca, and was presented by Instr. Loveson C. Gallos, BSIS Program Head. The research highlighted the use of graph databases to analyze production data to support food security initiatives in Guimaras.








Another CST-presented study was “Field to Fork: Developing a Mobile Application to Connect Farmers and Consumers for Sustainable Food Systems,” authored and presented by Prof. Adrian J. Forca. The study focused on utilizing mobile technology to strengthen linkages between farmers and consumers while promoting sustainable and inclusive food systems.





The study “Research Management Information System” was also presented under CST. It was authored by Divon G. Tamdang, Alfred John G. Borreros, James Ryan B. Ga, Loveson C. Gallos, and Adrian J. Forca, and was presented by Instr. Alfred John G. Borreros, showcasing a system designed to enhance efficiency in research documentation and management.
The research presentations were evaluated by the Board of Panels, composed of Adrian C. Alumbro, Research Director; Dr. Rhea Joy Flora, Campus Director of Baterna; and Dr. Julius T. Vergara, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training and Innovation (VP RETI).
CST’s participation in the 30th In-House Review underscores its dedication to generating research-driven solutions and contributing to institutional growth and community development.
