The College of Science and Technology (CST) successfully held its 3rd OJT Pinning Ceremony on January 16, 2026, at Juliana’s Hall, Pitstop Hotel, marking a significant milestone for the BSIT and BSIS fourth-year students as they formally embarked on their On-the-Job Training journey.

The ceremony was attended by OJT students and their proud parents, university officials, program heads, and invited guests. The event aimed to formally recognize and prepare the students as they transition from classroom learning to real-world professional environments.

The program commenced with a processional, followed by the opening prayer, national anthem, and the GSU Hymn. A welcome remark was then delivered by CST Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca followed by a message read by Ms. Kimberly Magsipoc, Campus Secretary on behalf of Dr. Kert D. Pillora, Mosqueda Campus Director all of whom emphasized professionalism, discipline, and excellence as the students take on their new roles as trainees.

The inspirational message was delivered by Mrs. Frennie D. Zarate, Head of the Budget Office and Administrative Officer V, who encouraged the students to embrace challenges, remain grounded in values, and view their OJT experience as a foundation for their future careers.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Imposition of Pins, a meaningful moment that symbolized the students’ readiness and commitment as on-the-job trainees. As the pins were placed, the pride and joy of the parents were clearly evident, reflecting their support and fulfillment in witnessing their children reach another important academic milestone.

The program concluded with the Pledge of Commitment, Commissioning and Send-Off Prayer led by the Campus Ministry Coordinator, Prof. Antonieta Espin and closing remarks by Instr. Loveson C. Gallos, BSIS Program Head formally sending off the students as they begin their training journey.

The event ended with a mass dance prepared by the students, photo opportunities, and a fellowship dinner.

The 3rd CST OJT Pinning Ceremony served not only as a rite of passage for BSIT and BSIS students but also as a celebration of perseverance, dedication, and the collective support of families and the academic community.
