Guimaras State University (GSU) and Universitas Katolik Darma Cendika (UKDC) IN Surabaya, Indonesia conducted an initial collaborative meeting on February 6, 2026, via Zoom to formally begin discussions for a potential academic partnership under the CST IZN Program. The virtual meeting marked the first step toward building a strong international collaboration between the two institutions.


The meeting was attended by representatives from UKDC and key officials from GSU, including Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Dean of the College of Science and Technology (CST), and Mrs. Helen Vilbar, Director of International Affairs. The participants introduced their respective institutions, shared their academic programs, and explored possible areas for future cooperation.
As the start of a developing partnership, the meeting focused on establishing mutual understanding, identifying shared goals, and opening opportunities for future initiatives such as student engagement, faculty collaboration, and academic exchanges. Both parties expressed interest in continuing discussions to further shape and strengthen the collaboration.
The initial dialogue set a positive foundation for the partnership, reflecting a shared vision of expanding global connections and creating meaningful academic opportunities for both institutions.
