Faculty members and selected students from the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) actively participated in the Academic and Research Collaborative Visit of Mendel University held on February 10, 2026, at the GSU Salvador Campus. The activity gathered 50 CST students representing five academic programs: Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS), Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS), Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS).









The collaborative visit aimed to strengthen academic partnerships, broaden students’ global perspectives, and enhance research and professional knowledge through international engagement. It provided an opportunity for students and faculty to gain valuable insights from international researchers and academic experts from Mendel University.










As part of the program, Mendel University representatives delivered a lecture proper focusing on Library Cataloging and other relevant academic and research topics, highlighting modern practices, global standards, and emerging trends in the field. The session allowed participants to deepen their understanding of information organization, research collaboration, and interdisciplinary learning.
The event also served as a platform for knowledge exchange, encouraging meaningful discussions between international lecturers and GSU participants. Through interactive discussions and academic sharing, students were able to explore new ideas, ask questions, and gain exposure to international best practices in research and education.
The activity reflects GSU CST’s commitment to academic excellence and global collaboration by providing opportunities that enhance students’ competencies and broaden their academic horizons.
