February 13, 2026 | GSU Mosqueda Campus

In a unified stand for gender equality and empowerment, the Guimaras State University Mosqueda Campus actively participated in the One Billion Rising Mob Dance Movement on February 13, 2026, held at the GSU Mosqueda Campus grounds.

Faculty members, staff, and students gathered as one community to take part in the activity, which was organized through the university’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office in collaboration with the PE Department. Wearing pink shirts as a symbol of support for the global campaign, participants danced in solidarity to raise awareness and strengthen the call to end violence against women and promote gender equality.

The activity forms part of the worldwide One Billion Rising movement, which encourages people across different sectors to rise, dance, and speak out against gender-based violence. Through this collective action, the university reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all.
Beyond the dance, the event served as a meaningful platform for the academic community to express unity, social responsibility, and support for women’s rights and human dignity. The active participation of students, faculty, and staff highlighted the campus’ strong advocacy for gender sensitivity and development.
