March 4, 2026 | GSU Mosqueda Campus

Faculty, staff, and students of Guimaras State University Mosqueda Campus gathered at the campus grounds on March 4, 2026 to officially launch the celebration of National Women’s Month, marking the beginning of activities that recognize and promote the role of women in society.

The kick-off celebration featured a series of engaging activities participated in by members of the campus. One of the highlights of the morning program was the One Billion Rising Mob Dance Competition, where different programs from CST and CBM showcased their performances in support of the global campaign advocating for women’s rights, empowerment, and the end of violence against women.

In the afternoon, a symposium was conducted to further enrich the celebration through meaningful discussion and reflection. The session featured Pstr. Agustin Prudente Jr. as the resource speaker, who delivered a talk centered on the theme “True Love Waits.” His discussion encouraged students to value respect, responsibility, and healthy relationships while promoting personal integrity and self-worth.
The successful kick-off activity highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering awareness, empowerment, and respect within the academic community. Through events like these, GSU Mosqueda Campus continues to support initiatives that promote gender equality, positive values, and community engagement throughout the National Women’s Month celebration.
