The College of Science and Technology held a coordination meeting with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on April 7, 2026, via Google Meet, to discuss the proposed training program on Introduction to Data Science with Python.
Representing CST in the meeting were Prof. Adrian J. Forca, CST Dean, and Instr. James Ryan B. Ga, Research Coordinator/BSEMC Program Head. On the part of DICT, the discussion was attended by Mr. Bryan Ga and Mr. John Michael Lagos.
The meeting focused on the planning and preparation for the proposed training, including discussions on the target participants, training structure, and potential venues for the conduct of the activity. Both parties explored ways to ensure that the program will be relevant, accessible, and beneficial to its intended participants.
The proposed training aims to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in data science using Python, supporting the growing demand for data-driven competencies in today’s digital landscape.
Through this collaborative training, CST and DICT continue to strengthen their partnership in delivering capacity-building initiatives and technology-driven learning opportunities, contributing to the development of skilled individuals in the field of information and communications technology.
