The College of Science and Technology conducted a community extension activity focused on Microsoft Excel training on April 13, 2026, at Barangay San Isidro.
The training was attended by Barangay Health Workers, Kagawads, Day Care Teacher, and other barangay personnel of San Isidro, aiming to enhance their digital competencies and improve efficiency in their daily administrative and health-related tasks.



Serving as the resource speaker was Instr. Gio Albert Montaño, who guided the participants through the essential functions and applications of Microsoft Excel.







The activity was organized by Dr. Reiner Jun G. Alminaza, CST Extension Coordinator, and was assisted by selected CST faculty members including Instr. Rhona P. Castor, Instr. Chrysha Lou Manajero, Instr. Maximino Tormon III, Instr. Mark Daniel C. Tagarda, and Instr. Glyzabel Echalar.
The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in using Microsoft Excel, enabling them to better manage records and streamline their work processes in the barangay and health offices.














During the session, participants were taught how to:
-Use the basic functions and features of MS Excel,
-Enter, edit, and organize data efficiently,
-Perform simple calculations using formulas and functions,
-Create tables and charts for reports, and
-Apply Excel in daily barangay and health office transactions.
Through guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants were able to practice and apply their learning in real-time, making the training both interactive and practical.
This extension activity reflects CST’s continued commitment to community engagement and digital literacy development, empowering local government personnel with essential technological skills that contribute to more efficient and effective public service delivery.
