On April 17, 2026, the College of Science and Technology (CST) faculty and staff gathered via Google Meet for a comprehensive meeting presided over by the CST Dean, Prof. Adrian J. Forca. The session served as a vital touchpoint for synchronizing the college’s efforts, focusing on a blend of student-centered milestones, institutional audits, and long-term professional development. Central to the discussion was a packed calendar for May, beginning with the 4th CST OJT Pinning Ceremony for 3rd-year BSCS students on May 17, followed immediately by the much-anticipated UBIQUITY 2026 2nd CST Student Research conference on May 18-19, and concluding with the proposed CST Week celebration from May 20 to 22.

The meeting also addressed critical quality assurance benchmarks, with Dean Forca emphasizing the urgency of the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 QMS External Audit scheduled on April 22-23, 2026. Alongside these preparations, the faculty reviewed the requirements for the RQAT 2026 assessment to ensure continued academic excellence. Beyond compliance, the college reaffirmed its commitment to growth through updates on Research and Development, extension projects, and the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) membership applications. Faculty members were also briefed on Learning and Development (LAP) protocols and the finalization of their Individual Development Plans for the year 2026-2028.

The session concluded with several significant updates under other matters, most notably the international representation of the college through the Dean’s participation in the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship in India.

This global engagement highlights the college’s increasing footprint in international research circles. Finally, the staff touched upon the initial preparations for Parangal 2026, the university’s prestigious recognition event. With a unified vision, the CST faculty and staff ended the meeting prepared to navigate the high-stakes academic and administrative tasks ahead.
