GSU Delegates Successfully Complete Naveen Jindal Young Global Fellowship 2026 in India

June 8 – July 10, 2026 | O.P. Jindal Global University, Haryana, India

The Guimaras State University proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Naveen Jindal Young Global Fellowship 2026 by two of its faculty members, marking another milestone in the university’s commitment to internationalization, research excellence, and global academic engagement.

The month-long fellowship, held from June 8 to July 10, 2026, took place at O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Haryana, India. Representing Guimaras State University were Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Dean of the College of Science and Technology, and Instr. Reynro T. Herrera, Director of the Mango and Tropical Research Center.

They joined more than 150 participants from various countries, fostering meaningful academic and cultural exchanges throughout the program.

The fellowship brought together internationally renowned professors, researchers, faculty members, and emerging academic leaders in an intensive learning environment. Guided by distinguished mentors, the delegates collaborated with other participants to develop Scopus-ready and interdisciplinary research proposals that address pressing global challenges through innovative and evidence-based approaches.

The fellowship also featured a series of expert-led lectures and workshops covering AI, innovation, public health, entrepreneurship, education, science, and research ethics. These sessions provided participants with updated knowledge, practical insights, and valuable perspectives that will further strengthen their teaching, research, and extension initiatives.

One of the highlights of the fellowship was the NJYGRF Cultural Confluence 2026, where different countries demonstrated their rich culture, traditions and practices through a cultural presentation. The Philippine delegation proudly showcased “BAGANI: A Journey of the Filipino Soul.” Through a vibrant presentation of music, dance, and storytelling inspired by the diverse cultures of the three major geographical islands: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the Filipino delegates celebrated the nation’s rich cultural heritage before the global audience. It was ended by the Sayaw Unity Dance that brings together not just Filipinos but all research fellows across different countries celebrating harmony, connection, and diverse cultures through an easy and unified movement. The performance served as a platform for promoting Philippine culture and strengthening the country’s presence within the global academic community, while encouraging meaningful connections among participants from different parts of the world.

The program also served as an avenue for building international networks, promoting cross-cultural collaboration, and encouraging the exchange of best practices among educators and researchers from diverse academic disciplines and countries.

The successful completion of the GSU delegates participating in the Naveen Jindal Young Global Fellowship 2026 reflects Guimaras State University’s unwavering commitment to developing globally competent educators, advancing research excellence, and strengthening international partnerships. The knowledge, experience, and collaborative opportunities gained through the fellowship are expected to contribute significantly to the university’s pursuit of innovation, quality education, and impactful research for national and global development.
