The College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University continues to strengthen its research excellence as its faculty members successfully authored and published another Scopus-indexed research article in the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), a globally recognized open-access academic publisher.

The published paper, titled “Document Route Recording System: Tool for Tracking Documents in Philippine Universities,” is featured in an MDPI publication and is the result of a collaborative research effort between the College of Science and Technology of Guimaras State University and Romblon State University.

The study was authored by Prof. Adrian J. Forca, CST Dean; Instr. James Ryan B. Ga, CST Research Coordinator; Instr. Loveson C. Gallos, BSIS Program Head; and Garry Vanz Blancia, Research Director of Romblon State University.

The research introduces a Document Route Recording System, a technology designed to improve the tracking, monitoring, and management of documents within Philippine universities. By providing an efficient and transparent mechanism for document routing, the system aims to enhance administrative processes, reduce delays, and promote accountability in the handling of institutional documents.

Prior to its publication, the paper was presented by Prof. Adrian J. Forca during the 8th International Global Conference Series on ICT Integration in Technical Education & Smart Society, held in Aizuwakamatsu City from January 20–26, 2026.

This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of CST to research excellence, innovation, and international collaboration. It also highlights the college’s continued efforts to produce impactful research that contributes to the advancement of higher education and digital transformation in the Philippines while strengthening Guimaras State University’s presence in the global research community.
