The College of Science and Technology successfully celebrated CST Week 2026 on May 20–21, 2026 at the GSU Mosqueda Campus Grounds with the theme, “Syncing Strength as One CST: Driving Unity, Resilient Innovation, and Global Excellence.” The two-day celebration gathered CST students, faculty members, staff, and international and local guests in a vibrant showcase of camaraderie, culture, technology, and student excellence.
The celebration aimed to strengthen unity among students, promote collaboration and innovation, develop students’ technical and leadership skills, and foster cultural appreciation and global connections through various academic, recreational, and team-building activities.













The first day of the celebration started with a 3-kilometer Fun Run participated in by CST students, faculty and staff members, and guests from ITB Stikom Bali, Indonesia and Romblon State University. The morning activity promoted wellness, teamwork, and active participation among everyone involved.

















This was followed by an energetic Zumba session that added excitement and enthusiasm to the opening activities of the two-day celebration.
One of the most memorable highlights of the day was the cultural exchange activity led by Dr. Ir. Paula Dewanti, S.Kom., M.Kom from ITB Stikom Bali, Indonesia. During the session, she introduced and taught the students and faculty members the graceful movements and proper execution of traditional Balinese dances. Participants enthusiastically learned the routines while appreciating the beauty and richness of Indonesian culture.
The activity not only strengthened cultural appreciation but also promoted international friendship, unity, and mutual respect among participants. The cultural exchange became a meaningful experience that reflected the spirit of global excellence and collaboration embodied by the celebration.






After the cultural exchange, the much-anticipated CST Team Building officially commenced. The activity began with the presentation of group cheers and yells, showcasing the creativity, teamwork, and energy of each participating group.









Students also participated in the exciting Laro ng Lahi games which brought fun, teamwork, and friendly competition to the celebration. The traditional games included Patintero, Chinese Garter, Tug of War, Sack Race, Obstacle Race, and Treasure Hunting with a Twist. The activities encouraged sportsmanship, cooperation, strategic thinking, and camaraderie among students.











The excitement continued during the afternoon activities through the E-Sports Tournament for both male and female categories, where students showcased their skills, teamwork, and competitiveness in the field of digital gaming.











A Tech Quiz Bee was also conducted with representatives from each group participating in a battle of knowledge and critical thinking related to technology and computer science concepts.




On the second day of the celebration, students participated in several academic and technical skill-based activities designed to further develop their competencies in the field of information technology and computing.
The activities included a Film Showing, Speed Crimping and PC Assembly competition which tested the students’ technical skills, accuracy, and speed in assembling computer hardware and networking components, and the Bug Hunt Battle where students demonstrated their programming and debugging abilities.

An orientation on the Google Career Certificate Program was also conducted to provide students with opportunities for professional growth and industry-recognized certifications. The orientation was facilitated by Ms. Marimae C. Pueyo, IT Representative from DTI Guimaras, who discussed the importance of digital skills and career readiness in today’s technology-driven world.
The afternoon activities featured the Speed Typing competition, where participants showcased their typing accuracy and speed, and the presentation of the CST representatives for Mr. and Miss GSU 2026, highlighting the confidence, talent, and personality of the student representatives.
The two-day celebration concluded with the awarding of certificates and recognition of winners and participants for their active involvement and outstanding performances throughout the different activities.



Through CST Week 2026, the College of Science and Technology once again demonstrated its commitment to building a united academic community that values innovation, resilience, cultural appreciation, and global collaboration while continuously empowering students to excel both academically and socially.
