Highlighting its growing reputation for research excellence on the international stage, faculty members from the College of Science and Technology (CST) achieved major recognition at the 8th International Conference on Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems (ICORIS) 2026, held from September 25 to 26, 2026, at Universitas Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, in a hybrid setup.
The CST research team brought home the prestigious Best Paper Award for their study titled “Design and Evaluation of a Web-Based Research Management Information System Using ISO/IEC 25010.”
The award-winning research was co-authored by a collaborative team composed of James Ryan B. Ga, Sandy Kosasi, Rachel Gallego, Divon G. Tamdang, Alfred John G. Borreros, Loveson C. Gallos, and Lilian Diana B. Parreño. Presenting on behalf of the authors, CST faculty member Instr. Alfred John G. Borreros delivered the paper virtually as part of the hybrid conference setup before an international audience of scholars, engineers, and technology experts. The study focused on creating and evaluating a web-based research management platform, demonstrating high compliance with international software quality standards set by ISO/IEC 25010.
This international recognition underscores the College of Science and Technology’s commitment to producing high-impact, globally competitive technological research and developing practical software solutions for academic administration. By earning an award at a premier international conference like ICORIS 2026, the CST faculty continue to elevate the institutional research profile and strengthen academic ties across different universities and institutions.
