CST Faculty Set for Research & Academic Engagements Across Indonesia and Malaysia

September 23 – October 5, 2026 | Malaysia and Indonesia

Faculty members of the College of Science and Technology (CST) of Guimaras State University (GSU) are undertaking a series of research and academic engagements in Indonesia and Malaysia from September 23 to October 5, 2026, beginning with their participation in the 8th International Conference on Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems (ICORIS) 2026 at Universitas Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.

CST Dean Adrian Forca and CST Research Coordinator Instr. James Ryan Ga are representing the College at the conference from September 23 to 26, joining an international academic gathering focused on cybernetics, intelligent systems, and related areas in science and technology.

The conference provides both faculty members with an avenue for scholarly exchange, allowing them to engage with researchers and academic practitioners working across technological disciplines and examine developments relevant to the College’s research and academic milieu.

Following the ICORIS 2026, Dean Forca will proceed to Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis STIKOM Bali, Indonesia, for an Academic and Research Exchange from September 27 to 29. He will then continue to Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, from September 30 to October 5 for another academic and research engagement.

Instr. Ga, meanwhile, will remain in Indonesia for an Academic and Research Exchange at Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis STIKOM Bali from September 27 to October 5, extending his engagement with the institution through research-oriented discussions and academic exchange.

The consecutive engagements give CST faculty a wider academic circuit within Southeast Asia, creating opportunities to exchange research perspectives, establish professional contacts, and identify areas of mutual interest for future academic and research collaboration.
