Guimaras State University successfully conducted a Micro-Credential Seminar themed “Empowering Learners Through Micro-Credentials” on April 27, 2026, at the GSU Mosqueda Campus, CST Laboratory.








The seminar was held in collaboration with Audentes Technologies Inc. and was attended by the CST Dean, faculty members, and selected students, reflecting the college’s commitment to advancing innovative learning approaches.





Serving as the resource speaker was Francis Xavier Hernandez, Co-Founder and Vice President of Audentes Technologies, Inc. In his discussion, he emphasized the growing relevance of micro-credentials in today’s evolving educational landscape, particularly in enhancing employability, lifelong learning, and the development of 21st-century skills.







Mr. Hernandez also highlighted global trends in micro-credentialing, discussing how these flexible learning pathways are reshaping education and workforce preparation. He emphasized the value of micro-credentials for students and faculty members, including skills enhancement, career readiness, and portfolio development, enabling learners to showcase competencies aligned with industry demands.
Through this initiative, GSU continues to strengthen its efforts in embracing innovative educational practices and fostering industry-academe collaboration, ensuring that students and educators remain competitive and responsive in a rapidly changing global environment.
